The NATE-Certification Advantage

March 20, 2018

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning takes pride in sending NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes across North America every day. While this notation of being Nate-Certified decidedly sounds reaffirming, what does it really mean?

NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was developed by and has been supported by the entire HVACR industry for nearly 20 years. However, not all technicians in the field are necessarily NATE-Certified. The certification is non-mandatory and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration units without being NATE-Certified.

It’s important to Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are placing the most skilled technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these standards, the NATE-Certification exams confirm real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that evaluate the technician’s understanding of these standards.

Since Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses mainly on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians earn their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may gain certification in multiple areas:

  • Air Conditioning
  • Air Distribution
  • Gas Heating
  • Oil Heating
  • Heat Pumps
  • Hydronic Gas (service only)
  • Hydronics Oil (service only)
  • Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
  • Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst

You can be assured that the technicians at Service Experts are highly qualified and professional and will do the job correctly from the beginning. Our company has the ability and skill set to not only service your HVAC systems, but to take the utmost care of your equipment. Call to have one of our NATE-Certified experts evaluate your HVAC system to be sure that it is ready to secure your family’s comfort all year long.
